The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further.
Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
You will be picked up from your hotel and drive down the scenic road to Masai Mara en-route having a stopover at the escarpment and Narok. We will reach Masai Mara in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, we will proceed for a game drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
You will spend a full day with an early morning and afternoon game viewing across the rich tree studded grasslands and rolling hills, looking for predators and the animal activity. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains' game, black-maned lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Later you will be returning to the camp for high tea and rest before dinner at 19:30 hours.
The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential and you can even do a horseback safari.
Day 3: Return to Nairobi
After a beatuful early morning game drive you will enjoy a delicious breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi. You may be able to see some game on route as well.
Drive back to Nairobi to Arrive around noon.
